A 53-year-old father has been killed in a shocking motorbike crash at Denial Bay on the state's far west coast.

    

The three -year -old father has been killed in a shocking motorbike crash on the state's far west coast. Nathan Richter is at the Women's and Children's Hospital tonight and Nathan, the man's young son, was travelling with him. 

Mike, 11 -year -old Patty Furley was airlifted from Sagina last night with serious injuries. He was riding on the back of his dad's Harley Davidson when they lost control around a bend on Denial Bay Road and crashed. 

His father, Dale Furley, who was a respected ranger -coordinator in Sagina, died at the scene. Friends say the pair had been out on a ride and were on their way home when the accident happened. 

They say Dale had travelled the road hundreds of times before. Major crash investigators spent most of this morning at the scene trying to understand what went so horribly wrong. Sadly, with the death of that man, his 11 -year -old son was a pillion passenger. 

He has survived the collision, but again, the impact of that life lost is significant. Today, friends, took to social media to pay tribute. One writing, Stay strong, Patty. It was very clear your dad absolutely loved you and always will, even from afar. 

Mike, we understand Patty's grandmother and uncle have flown to Adelaide to be at his bedside tonight as they try to come to terms with this unimaginable loss.
